Field Care and Skinning Suggestions:

Birds
  • Wrap the bird's head including beak or bill and the feet with a wet cloth.
  • Freeze in a sealed plastic bag or nylon stocking. Be careful not to damage the feathers.
  • Fresh birds are also welcome.
  • Do not attempt to clean or skin.

Fish
  • Take a picture as soon as possible.
  • Colors fade fast and will be hard to match without a good picture.
  • Wrap fish in a wet towel and keep cold or freeze until you can bring it to us.
  • Do not gut the fish.

Big Game
  • Skinning the animal as soon as possible is preferred.
  • Keep the hide cool and out of the sunlight.
  • Bring the hide to us as quickly as possible, otherwise freeze the hide.
