Field Care and Skinning Suggestions: Birds Wrap the bird's head including beak or bill and the feet with a wet cloth. Freeze in a sealed plastic bag or nylon stocking. Be careful not to damage the feathers. Fresh birds are also welcome. Do not attempt to clean or skin. Fish Take a picture as soon as possible. Colors fade fast and will be hard to match without a good picture. Wrap fish in a wet towel and keep cold or freeze until you can bring it to us. Do not gut the fish. Big Game Skinning the animal as soon as possible is preferred. Keep the cape cool and out of the sunlight. Bring the cape to us as quickly as possible, otherwise freeze the hide.
